Welcome to the Dr. Joseph Ugbodaga Igietseme (DJUI) Memorial Foundation, where we are committed to preserving the legacy of Dr. Joseph Ugbodaga Igietseme life of service, scientific inquiry, and leadership by investing in initiatives that strive for poverty eradication, equitable access to quality education, sustainable clean water solutions, and inclusive economic development.

The Dr. Joseph Ugbodaga Igietseme Memorial Center & Library opened to local businesses and vendors in July 2023.
The first memorial football game was held at Saint Peters Secondary School on December 29, 2023.
The Library houses over 1000 non-fiction, fiction, children’s books, movies, and other media collected by DJUI and his family over years.
The Manebe (Let’s Read) Bode Challenge, was a 4 hour read-a-thon for primary, junior, and secondary school students held at the Library on December 30, 2024. Prizes were awarded for top readers and gifts shared with all participants.
The Etsako Club 81 Americas branch of Etsako Club 81 established a college scholarship fund called the EC81A Professor Joseph Igietseme College Scholarship in honor of Dr. Igietseme as a pioneering member
Three $500 scholarships will be awarded to college freshman of Etsako origins for their submission of a compelling 500-word essay.
The three winners of the inaugural scholarship will be announced here.
